Wrestling stars are back in town this weekend

THE ACTION-PACKED K-Star Wrestling returns to Redditch this weekend as fun for all the family awaits.

Local wrestlers will be in action as well as some stars from further afield at the new wrestling venue of HDA Mettis Sports & Social Club in Cherry Tree Walk, Batchley, on Saturday.

KSW have sold out previous shows in Redditch and are hoping the new venue will be no different as it promises to be a massive hit with local families.

The main event of the show and KSW British Championship will feature ‘Inmate’ Damien Black (aka Luke Sanders) who will be defending his British title.

Although Luke is a vicious Inmate in the ring, he has recently become a father and is looking forward to his daughter who is nearly one watching him perform in his home town.

“I can’t wait to see her reaction when I come through the curtain. She has never seen me in the ring before,” said the 28-year-old.

The ‘UK’s Premier High Flyer’ Kid Flash (aka Mitchell Grubb of Lodge Park) will be facing The Tank for the Midlands title.

Mitchell is only 19 years of age but said he is ready to defeat the Tank for his professional wrestling title.

KSW was founded 17 years ago this past October by former World of Sport wrestler Steve Logan, who was on ITV’s World of Sport many times, teaming up with Big Daddy.

He also travelled to Canada where he trained at the Hart Dungeon with Stu Hart. Steve wrestled with and alongside Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, British Bulldog and Fit Finlay amongst others.

Also in action are K-Star regulars the 7ft Australian ‘Monster Big Bad Donaghan’, the ‘UnDead Demon Rigor Mortis’, ‘Super Hero Titan’ and many more colourful characters.

The show is set to be a great family night out and is not to be missed so, if its chokeslams, moonsaults and frogsplashes you are after, KSW provides all the glamour and excitement of WWE for a fraction of the price.

Tickets cost £5 and are available on the door or from the venue beforehand. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.45pm. Call 07974 658170 for more details.
