United boss savours encouraging campaign

Redditch Editorial 15th May, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016

REDDITCH United manager Liam McDonald was this week reflecting on a successful campaign for the Valley Stadium outfit which ended in victorious fashion with a Worcestershire Senior Cup final win over Evesham United.

The Reds boss is pictured with the plate which was given to the cup winners after their 5-2 victory over the Robins in last Tuesday’s final at Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough Stadium.

United’s young guns also reached the semi-finals of the Red Insure League Cup as well as staging a superb turnaround in fortunes to finish tenth in the Southern League Premier Division after a torrid start to the campaign.

Hopes are high the 2014/15 season will see more exciting football played at the Valley when the blossoming Reds return to action.
