REDDITCH SWIMMING CLUB topped the medal table with 41 golds at the Worcestershire County Championships.
In total, Redditch SC won 92 medals with 41 gold, 23 silver and 28 bronze over three weekends with over 50 swimmers competing in 36 events over six age groups.
The event took place at Perdiswell Swimming pool, Worcester and the Central Baths, Wolverhampton, with five full days of competition across January and February.
Club Chairperson Malcolm Ross said: “Topping the County’s medal table with the gold medal count has not been achieved within the memory of anyone currently associated with the club.
“This is an achievement that hasn’t been seen for at least a generation.
“It’s very exciting and, after the club’s recent successes in the Arena League, confirms Redditch as probably the strongest team in the County.”
Head Coach Jon Fletcher said: “In over four out of every five swims, the athletes achieved personal best performances.
“It shows the dedication and commitment these youngsters show week after week, I’m so proud of their performances.”
