WHITE Hart’s two Sunday teams defeated opponents Black Horse in their respective divisions of the Northfield & District League, with only one individual loss in each tie.
The A team beat hosts Black Horse A 159-101 with wins for Tim Hollingshead, Ian Humphreys and Paul Matthews, all 21-11, Ray Richards 21-7, Graham Arnott and Mike Estell (both 21-12) and captain Mick Perrins 21-16.
The win takes White Hart up to third in Division Two, four points behind Triplex and seven behind leaders Rubery Sheldon.
White Hart B hammered visitors Black Horse B 153-82, also having seven winning cards from Neil Laxton 21-1, Kirk Wright 21-6, Sheila Humphreys 21-7, Sue Sugden 21-8, Tom Hawkes 21-12, Gill Croft 21-14 and captain Dave Edwards 21-13.They top Division Four by 11 points from Baldwin B.
White Hart also lead Warwickshire/Worcestershire Premier League Division Six by five points from Romsley & Hunnington after a narrow 221-211 win at Tyseley WMC.
The Redditch club had six winners – Mike Estell and Gary Bennett both 21-19, Neil Laxton 21-6, Dave Edwards 21-15, Graham Arnott 21-10 and Brian Chatterley 21-16.
In the Yardley Wood Superleague, White Hart occupy second place in Division Four, one point behind RABL, after a 160-113 victory at Henley B.
Their six winners were John Meredith 21-15, Gill Croft and Tim Hollingshead both 21-14, Neil Laxton and Dave Kings both 21-10 and Ray Richards 21-8. Hart have now pulled 14 points clear of third placed King George VI A.
In the Heart of England Thursday League, White Hart A lost a home thriller 146-141 against Colebrook A despite having four winners – Stephen Turner 21-7, Mick Perrins 21-18, Paul Matthews 21-17 and Mike Estell 21-20.
They are next to bottom of Division One in a relegation place and 23 points from safety.
The B team gained a fine 148-139 victory at Tanworth B in Division Four with four winning cards from Kirk Wright 21-11, Gary Bennett 21-18, Gill Croft 21 and captain Norman Batchelor 21-9.
In Heart of England Over 60s Friday League Division One, White Hart A were beaten 126-91 by a strong RABL A team and did not achieve a single winning card, although the B team took revenge on local rivals Alcester B after a heavy defeat there the previous week.
This time Hart ran out 110-97 winners with four winners – Kirk Wright 21-16, Sue Sugden 21-11, Mick Perrins 21-15 and captain Brian Chatterley 21-13. They are fifth in Division Two but still 22 points short of a promotion place.
