Success on home courts for Redditch HDA players

THE KNIGHTS Pharmacy 2016 Redditch Easter Open was held at Redditch HDA Tennis Club and attracted more than 80 entries from around the country.

The event took place over four days and offered competitive tennis for all ages from eight and under through to adults.

Redditch players Joe Morris and Caleb Ravenscroft both won their age groups. Morris triumphed in the 16 and under boys’ event as he beat Simon Brenchley 6-3, 3-6 (10-4) in the final, whilst Ravenscroft won the nine and under mixed event by defeating Matthew Bevins 7-1, 7-3 in the final.

The other winners were Aidan Cassells in the eight and under mixed category, Anthony Agranovsky in the ten and under mixed, Matthew Moloney in the 12 and under boys’ event, Stuart Shannon in the 14 and under boys’ competition and Ben Moore in the men’s event.
