Studley's squad takes shape after signing eight players

STUDLEY joint-managers John Edwards and Wayne Bunn have ticked off eight players towards completing their team-building jigsaw.

The duo have confirmed five players who featured for them at previous club Littleton will be following them to the Beehive.

Two key players from the Bees’ last term have committed to returning to the Midland League Division One side, while former Redditch United and Bromsgrove Sporting defender Jordan Jones has also agreed to sign.

Redditch-born Jones’ pedigree also includes playing for Kidderminster Harriers’ first team.

Edwards and Bunn are determined to build on the successes of both Littleton and Studley, who finished eighth and ninth in the table last term, to finalise their squad.

The recruits include Littleton top-scorer Dan Carter who netted 46 goals in 48 starts, plus evergreen former Evesham, Redditch, Highgate, Bromsgrove and Alvechurch midfielder Simon Fitter.

Midfielder Joe Adams, right-back Shay Palmer and winger Dale Edwards have also switched from Littleton.

Defender Dan Dineen, who made the most starting appearances as an outfield player for the Bees last season, and captain Dan Ludlow will also continue with the club.
