STUDLEY lost their last six wickets for 34 runs as they slipped to a crushing 125-run defeat at home to Moseley Ashfield in Warwickshire League Division One.
The visitors had rattled up a daunting 265-6 from their 50 overs, led by 87 from opener Warwick Paull.
However, Studley had battled to 95-4 before Moseley Ashfield sparked a collapse and the hosts were all out for 129 off 34.5 overs.
Moseley provided a strong base with a 76-run opening stand between Paull and skipper Oliver Thomas (50) before Paull and Kamran Qamar (60) continued the momentum with a 108-run partnership for the second wicket.
Andy Rhodes (3-53 off 12) checked Moseley’s progress but it was still a total which proved well beyond Studley, for whom opener Dale Edwards top-scored with 32.
Studley visit Nether Whitacre on Saturday for a key game between two sides in the bottom three.
