THE REDDITCH Federation of Anglers’ Saturday Open at Arrow Valley Lake attracted 15 competitors and it was Wayne Price (Warwick) who claimed top spot.
The lake continued to fish very well in the mild, windy conditions as bream showed strongly all around the pool.
Price caught 39lb 13oz from peg number 23 on the Shakespeare bank using method feeder tactics cast to the island with dead red maggot hookbait.
Match organiser John Bushell (Hymatic AC) was runner-up with 32lb 4oz from peg 58, using cage feeder with red maggots.
Third place was taken by Colin Harvey (Worcester) who had 27lb from peg 65 ahead of his fishing buddy Alf Hand (Kempsey) in fourth with 25lb 6oz and Nigel Davis (Hymatic AC) who was fifth with 23lb 15oz from peg 55.
