Millers will face tough test at Northfield, warns boss Davies

HEAD coach Tom Davies says Feckenham can expect an entertaining tussle with Northfield Town when the sides meet at Shenley Lane Community Association on Saturday.

The second-placed Millers will be aiming to maintain their superb Midland League Division Two form having been forced to endure a free weekend when Saturday’s scheduled home game against FC Stratford fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

Davies said: “The reverse fixture against Northfield earlier this season (0-0 at the Entaco in August) was a great advert for the league and certainly one for the neutral.

“We’re looking forward to testing ourselves against the reigning champions again and hopefully continuing the form we’ve started with this season.”

JUST two fixtures involving Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination teams survived the weekend’s torrential rain.

Both matches were in the Worcester FA Sunday Premier Cup and both ended in defeat as Areley Kings saw off South Redditch 2-1 and Green Man Inn were 3-1 victors over Studley Lions.
