REDDITCH gymnast Leah Paice has a spring in her step after winning prestigious titles at the West Midlands Regional Floor and Vault Competition in Stoke-on-Trent.
Eight-year-old Leah, who attends Astwood Bank First School, won the under nine beginner girls category whilst representing Bromsgrove Gymnastics Club at Fenton Manor Sports Complex on Sunday.
Leah performed an outstanding floor routine, followed by two secure vaults, to win the individual under nine beginner girls section for the second time this year, whilst her team also won gold in the team category.
Andrea Paice, Leah’s mother and head coach at Bromsgrove Gymnastics Club, said: “I am very pleased with all the gymnasts’ performance on the day and I am so proud of my daughter’s achievements.”
There was further success for the club as Abbie Hannaford claimed third place in the under nine beginner girls category, whilst in the same age group the boys team won silver and George Moore clinched an individual bronze.
The club’s under 11 beginner mixed team won gold, as did Milo Boffey in the under 11 beginner boys event.
