Kingfishers get stuck in

Redditch Editorial 20th Jul, 2017 Updated: 20th Jul, 2017   0

REDDITCH RFC made the most of the dry weather and generous sponsorship from NatWest’s Rugby Force programme to improve viewing and access at their Bromsgrove Road ground.

With a little help from some ‘big boys toys, the club made short work of laying 20 tonnes of hardcore to form a new path at the end of the pitch.

Volunteers were joined by Gary Townsend, branch manager of Travis Perkins, who have been named as this season’s major kit sponsor.

Townsend said Travis Perkins are delighted to be supporting Redditch RFC and are looking forward to full involvement during the season.

Meanwhile, training continues under coach Simon Fitzpatrick every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7pm. New players are always welcome and no experience is necessary.

Redditch begin their Midlands Four West (South) campaign at Claverdon on September 9.
