REDDITCH kickboxing trainer John O’Hare was yesterday (Thursday) in action in the World Kickboxing Championships in Italy.
The 42-year-old is well known in the area having been involved in the sport for the past 20 years, including ten years as a trainer, and on Wednesday he flew out to Italy to compete in the Unified World Championships in Tuscany.
O’Hare has been generously backed by Louise and Ashley Gargan, the owners of The Duck Inn in Oakenshaw, who have sponsored him and also paid for printed fighting gear.
O’Hare, a second degree black belt freestyle kickboxer who teaches kickboxing at RSA Academy Arrow Vale on Tuesday evenings, is representing the International Combat Organisation (ICO) England squad in the veterans (over 40s) event.
