YOUNGSTERS from local schools and throughout the Midlands are eagerly anticipating the inaugural Jump Rope School Championships.

Spearheaded by Jump Rope UK director and head coach Rachael Rollisson, there will be a workshop in the morning and competition in the afternoon of the April 19 event at RSA Academy Arrow Vale.

The Midlands version is open to age range three upwards and will feature Batchley First School and Abbeywood First School of Church Hill. Also in action will be St Andrew’s First School, Westacre Middle School of Droitwich, Dodderhill Independent Girls’ School, Short Wood Primary School of Telford, Bredon Hancock’s First School of Bredon and Oasis Academy Blakenhale Junior School of Birmingham.

The price is £60 per school for up to 20 pupils. Jump Rope UK can come into schools to help participating pupils prepare with a one-hour session for £30 plus travel. For more details about any of the above, contact Rachael on 07415 784182 or email [email protected].
