WORCESTERSHIRE Gymnastics Academy held their first boys’ Club Grades Championships of the year alongside Uttoxeter Gymnastics Club as a warm-up competition for the gymnasts who will participate at the London Open in September.
The competition featured 32 gymnasts – 18 from Worcestershire and 14 from Uttoxeter – and had set routines for all six men’s artistic pieces and a physical preparation routine.
Worcestershire GA results were as follows: Level Zero – Cotton Hennessey, joint 4th; Level 1 – Laith Coathup, 1st; Bruno Osman-Hopes, 2nd; Level 1 out of age – Ethan Mathias, 1st, Matthew Maundrell, 2nd; Evan Miles, 3rd; Level 2 – Alfie Taylor, 1st; Lewis Beaver, 3rd; Level 4 – Ethan Groom, 1st.
