REDDITCH artistic gymnast Grace Carter performed impressively in the West Midlands In-Age Level 4 Championships at Cannock Chase Leisure Centre where she finished eighth overall.
Grace, a year five pupil at Walkwood Middle School and member of the successful City of Birmingham Gymnastics Club, was up against the very best gymnasts in her age group from across the region.
Building on her gold medal-winning performance in the West Midlands Regional Grade 5 Championships in April, Grace displayed many new skills for the first time, putting in good performances on each of the four pieces of apparatus – bars, beam, floor and vault.
The highlight came with an impressive performance on the bars as Grace placed second with a score of 12.40.
