FOOTBALL - Studley win at Stonehouse to maintain title charge

STUDLEY FC secured another 2-0 victory against Stonehouse Town in midweek to move six points clear at the top of the Hellenic League Division One table.

Goals in either half from Jake Donnelly and Sean Brain were enough to secure the points as Studley secured a third successive win without conceding.

And the result means Studley are now six points clear of Worcester Raiders at the top of the table, albeit having played one game more than their nearest challengers.

The visitors opened the scoring on 24 minutes when Donnelly rose highest to power a header into the net following a succession of corners.

And the Bees finally managed to put the game to bed on 65 minutes when Brain netted from 20-yards out to make sure of the points.

Studley are next in action away at Newent Town on Saturday, March 5 with kick-off at 3pm at Wildsmith Meadow.
