REDDITCH motorcycle racer Mathew Dawes is encouraging businesses and individuals to back him as he bids to build on his impressive start to the Thundersport GB series.
The 25-year-old only started racing last year and had never visited any of the tracks he is now competing on, but made a flying start to the Pre-National 600 category as he claimed first, second, third and fourth places at Brands Hatch in an event which is televised on Motors TV and shown on YouTube.
Dawes, who classes himself as a “huge racing enthusiast”, said: “I am desperately looking for help to fund my racing as I’m doing it all off my own back at the moment.
“If I was to receive some help from local businesses or local people I would be very grateful indeed.”
