Alvechurch looking good with new kits

IAN LONG says Alvechurch’s players are determined to look their best after joking they will get the chance to model their new kit.

The Churchmen will have a new-look home and away kit for their inaugural season in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League after agreeing a two-year deal with supplier Surridge Sports. The new design will also include the youth teams.

Boss Long says he has used the incentive for the players to show off the yellow home kit and green away design in a photo shoot.

“I told them there will be a topless shoot so they all want to be models. They’re all working hard on their abs now to look the part. At least their wives and girlfriends will be impressed!”

Church chairman Richard Thorndike said: “I love the new kit and I’m really pleased with how it looks. I think it will appeal to all from the first team squad through to our junior teams.

“When we tendered for a new kit supplier we considered quality of design, quality of product and quality of service. In all areas Surridge Sports ticked the boxes and we now have a kit that is not only bespoke but also of a real high quality.

“We’re extremely happy they’re partnering with us on this important stage of the Alvechurch journey.”

The new home shirt will be sponsored by local law firm Davisons and Hunters estate agency will sponsor the away strip.

The home shirt reflects the traditional gold colours with a red twist, while green will be the away kit colours. Both feature a sublimated badge in the rear of the shirt sponsored by Barney’s Barbers and RRB builders.
