Alvechurch arrange seven pre-season friendlies

ALVECHURCH will face a range of rivals from the Vanarama North to the United Counties League in their pre-season programme of friendlies.

Church have arranged seven warm-up games so far and are awaiting confirmation of an eighth before they make their bow in the new Southern Central division at Step Three.

Ian Long’s side, promoted from Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division One South, kick off their friendlies away to West Midlands League Premier side Malvern Town on Thursday, July 12 before a trip to Wolverhampton Casuals on July 14.

Alvechurch meet Kidderminster Harriers in the Worcestershire Senior Cup semi-final on Tuesday, July 17 in the first of two home matches.

Bromsgrove Sporting, preparing for their first season at Step Four, then visit Alvechurch on July 24 followed by trips to UCL side Rugby Town (July 26) and Midland Premier sides Highgate United (July 28) and Sporting Khalsa (July 31).

The club are also looking to finalise a final friendly on August 3.
