Your Ideas to design new visually pleasing garden for its users

YOUR Ideas Youth & Community Project is busy designing a new garden after receiving a £4,000 grant from Tesco.

The not-for-profit organisation applied for the supermarket’s ‘Bags of Help’ scheme, which looks to improve local projects and their green spaces.

Jordan Cooke, project manager at Your Ideas, said: “We applied for this grant because our old garden was in a state of disarray and was practically unusable.

“Each week we have around 140 youngsters, aged between 15-25, using our service.

“So we’re really looking forward to creating an added space which they can use and enjoy.”

The users, who are on the autism spectrum, have already started to create artwork for the garden, and come up with ideas for what can go in it.

The project is expected to be finished by next summer.

Jordan added: “If anyone would like to volunteer their time and help us with the manual work, or would like to donate something to go in the garden, please contact us on 01527 502624.”
