A TRIBUTE has been paid to Redditch resident Hannah Smith after she was fatally struck by a car last Monday, August 26.

Police were called to Auxerre Avenue at 5.45am following reports of a collision involving Hannah and a black Toyota Avensis Estate.

Sadly Hannah, aged 28, was announced dead at the scene.

In a statement, her family said: “Hannah, not only were you our daughter and sister, you were also our best friend.

“You were kind, caring and would do anything for anyone.

“You made us laugh and cry and you will be missed in our hearts and thoughts now and always.

“Sleep well darling Hannah, love as always.”

Her family and friends have asked their privacy be respected at this difficult time.

Officers remain keen to speak to anyone who saw, or has dashcam footage, of the collision taking place.

They would particularly like to peak to the driver of a small, dark, hatchback car who was seen driving down Auxerre Avenue at around the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 133s of 26 August 2019.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
