Yee ha! Cast bares all to combat cancer and Oklahoma at the Palace

MEMBERS of Studley Operatic Society are baring all for a good cause to promote their latest production, writes Tom Banner.

To raise money for their production of Oklahoma and to combat breast cancer, members have done their own saucy calendar themed around the show, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The calendar, for 2019, features cast members in the Wild West setting of the show, including on horseback and even on a steer!

In all 25 per cent of the price of each calendar going to the breast cancer charity Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.

Lorraine Hill from SOS said: “The calendar was great fun and hopefully it will raise some money for a great cause.

“The shoot was a giggle, we thought it would be embarrassing but it was really good fun and bound the group really well.

“As for the show, I won’t spoil the ending, but love wins through!”

The calendars cost £8 and will be available at the theatre as well as direct from the Studley Operatic Society.

Oklahoma tells a tale of romance of farm girl Laurey Williams and the two men, Curly and Jud, fighting for her affections.

With dancing, fighting and songs aplenty, Oklahoma is a show audiences will not want to miss.

Oklahoma is at the Palace Theatre from April 24-28 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £13.50 on Tuesday evening and for the Saturday matinee.

Wednesday to Saturday Evening tickets cost £17.
