REDDITCH residents keen to brush up on their internet skills or even take the online plunge can get a helping hand to do so with the council’s next Beginners and Improvers IT course.
Customer support officers will be on hand to show small groups of learners what services are available at their fingertips and help with Excel, word and publisher, amongst other programmes, as well as top tips for social media.
The course is being put on as part of the Council’s commitment to providing access to computers and encouraging residents to access services online.
The next free eight week course at the Town Hall starts on Tuesday, May 7 and on the following day, Wednesday, May 8. both sessions run from 10am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm.
Customer support officer Jane Walker said: “Technology is moving at such a quick pace that it can be hard to keep up with it.
“The courses are designed to make life easier for learners by helping them access the services they need on a digital platform and improve their digital skills.
“We’ve had really good feedback from past groups and we are pleased to be giving more people the opportunity to have a go at getting online – and hopefully it will not seem so daunting.”
The course has been provided by Adult Learning Worcestershire.
