Vintage shop steps back in time

A NEW vintage shop and tea room will be brewing up a taste of the past for shoppers.

Annaliz Vintage has taken over the ground floor of the Old County Court on Church Road and is offering customers an eclectic range of vintage furniture, crockery, clothes and collectibles from 1800 to 1970.

The business, which is owned by Liz Williams and Ann Bush, was originally set up in 2007 when the friends started visiting car boots.

The pair sold items on stalls at fairs before creating an official base in The Old Needle Works just 12 months ago.

Now the talented duo have set up shop in the former court building with their new Bailiffs Café opening in the coming days.

Liz Williams said: “The Old County Court is a lovely building.

“We believe that having a town centre location on the corner of Church Road and Adelaide Street can only increase footfall, especially when we have fully opened Bailiffs Café which will not only showcase our wares, but also give shoppers somewhere really welcoming to enjoy a coffee and some homemade cake.”
