EIGHT local organisations have been successful in the latest round of funding from Redditch Borough Council’s Main Grants Pot.
The pot allows voluntary community sector groups to bid for funding from £500 up to £5,000 to help with their core costs and salaries, or to support community projects and activities.
As a result of Covid-19, the Main Grant Pot was split into two rounds, with the first round ending in May.
The second round ended in October this year and successful bids were:
Touchstones Child Bereavement Support: £5,000
The Old Needle Works Foundation: £2,912
Age UK (BRWF): £1,000
Redditch District Scouts: £4,719
Where Next Association: £2,499
Your Ideas Youth and Community Project: £3,226
BluWave Community Services: £2,000
Moons Moat Conservation Group: £2,500
Councillor Matt Dormer, Leader of Redditch Borough Council, said: “As a council, we are committed to supporting VCS organisations to deliver a variety of projects and activities within the community.
“It is great to see so many of these organisations bidding for the funding to help them have a positive impact within Redditch and for its residents, especially during these difficult times.”
“I am so pleased that the main grants pot was used to its full potential and could help all of these organisations make a difference within our community.”
