PUPILS at Vaynor First School celebrated the love of reading as part of World Book Day yesterday.
Children from all year groups dressed up as characters from their favourite novels and were tasked with creating a ‘book float’ using technical craft skills.
They spoke about their chosen story and how they came up with each design.
Mrs Amy Hewings, assistant headteacher, said: “The children’s creations were so impressive.
“They’ve worked so hard and with the support of their parents have done themselves proud.
“It was a fantastic project as it provided cross links in the curriculum between English and Art and Design.”
