TUDOR Grange Academy Redditch has teamed up with Solihull Moors to offer a new Football Academy pathway for Sixth Form students from September 2021.
Places on the Football Academy are through trials with Solihull Moors, who train at nearby Studley Sports Centre.
The aim is to offer talented youngsters a bespoke football route, offering students the chance to gain academic qualifications whilst also training with Solihull Moors.
Students interested in joining the academy must attend a trial with Solihull Moors before being offered a place on the scheme.
Becci Fox, chief executive of the Solihull Moors Foundation said: “We are delighted to have created a partnership between Tudor Grange Academy Redditch and Solihull Moors Foundation.
“We believe this Football and Education programme is an extraordinary platform that gives talented young individuals the chance continue their full-time academic studies whilst receiving professional football coaching.
“The programme is designed to give 16 to 18 year olds the best opportunity to gain A Levels or BTEC qualifications while training and competing in a first class football programme.”
On the pitch, the programme looks to test the players’ ability in regional and national leagues and give players the opportunity to also trial at local semi-professional and professional clubs.

As part of our long term development plan, we want to put our sporting facilities back into the centre of the community and this is a great step forward.”
Students have already successfully signed up to the new pathway but Solihull Moors are offering an additional trial day for anyone interested in joining the programme.
