TUDOR Grange Academy has officially launched its brand new ‘Treetops’ centre for children with complex learning difficulties, including autism.
Treetops provides a base for children who have struggled to access mainstream education.
It’s a personalised environment which includes several modern classrooms, a kitchen and a dark sensory room for children to relax in.
Jodie Bolter, headteacher of Tudor Grange, said: “I am absolutely delighted with our new provision and we hope that parents and the local community will join us to ensure that Treetops becomes a beacon of excellence.
“It is a much needed resource within the area and the country and we will ensure it becomes a provision that all students, parents and the community are incredibly proud of.”

Redditch MP Rachel Maclean, who cut the ribbon and announced the centre open last Friday, said: “I am so pleased to see the centre finally come to fruition.
“This school is a valued part of the community and this will enable it to keep going from strength to strength.”
Treetops has already seen its first cohort of student starting and parents have been overwhelmingly positive so far.
Mum Melissa Mitchell told the Standard: “I love the setting because there’s no pressure on the children at all, it’s very relaxed environment and they need that.”
Places at Treetops are offered to children following a consultation with Worcestershire County Council, where it will be decided whether a child’s needs can be met at Treetops.
The school is not able to offer places directly.
