Tree-mendous - Recycling Centre happy to take your Christmas tree

Redditch Editorial 4th Jan, 2020   0

RESIDENTS with real Christmas trees are being reminded these can be recycled and composted at the Redditch household recycling centre in Crossgate Road, Park Farm.

In addition to green waste, paper and card packaging, the centre also accepts things you can’t get into their recycling bin plus unwanted electrical equipment, clothing, bric-a-brac and bikes that can be reused by local charities to raise vital funds.

The Crossgates recycling centre is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday.

Worcestershire Councillor Tony Miller, Cabinet Member for the Environment said: “Household recycling centres are a great way to help the post-Christmas clear up.

“Taking a trip to your local recycling centre can make sure the things you don’t need any more can go where they’ll be of use either by being recycled or gain a new lease of life benefitting both local communities and the environment.”

All the household recycling centres across the county are free for residents of Worcestershire to use.
