FAMED Birmingham chef Glynn Purnell will be visiting Simply Alpaca at nearby Flyford Flavell this Saturday to mark National Alpaca Farm Days.
The event, run by the British Alpaca Society, aims to encourage everyone and anyone to go out and meet alpacas.
Glynn recently released his second children’s book ‘Arnold the Alpaca’ and will be visiting Simply Alpaca from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, where he will do a special signing of his book, as well as meeting the farm’s alpacas.
Arnold the Alpaca tells the story of a very brave alpaca, who mistakenly gets chosen by shorted-sighted farmer Mr. Pickles for his sheep farm.
Alpacas hail from South America and have recently been in the news with the fate of Geronimo, the alpaca who tested positive for bovine tuberculosis and was put down by government vets after a long battle.
Simply Alpaca is off the A422 just beyond Inkberrow.
