They've done it again! Tudor Grange smashes last year's record breaker

FOR THE second year running, Tudor Grange Academy in Redditch has achieved its best A level results to date with 42 per cent of A level grades at A*-B, an increase of 10 per cent on last year.

Students achieved a 100 per cent A*-E pass rate across A level qualifications, and a 100 per cent of students were awarded BTEC levels in vocational subjects. Students achieving A*-C grades rose again this year to 71 per cent, a 16 per cent increase on last year, and a 38 per cent increase on two years ago.

The following A level subjects performed particularly well: Art (100 per cent A*), Religious Studies (100 per cent A*-B), Business Studies and Psychology.




It was also another good year for vocational subjects such as Performing Arts, Health and Social Care, Business Studies and Sport with all boasting an outstanding grade of Merit or Distinction.

Not only that but all of these students secured the destination of their choice with 88 per cent securing a place at their first or second choice university.


Top performing students included: Ellen Heaselgrave (A*,A,A), Noor Zafar (A*,A*,B), Anjali Biju (A*,A,C), Oliver Newton-Coombs (A,A,B), Daniel Morris (A,B,B), Maddie Hollis (A,B,B),Kate Hunter (A,B,B), Jodie Livett (Dist*, Dist*, Dist) and Justice Jones (Dist*,A,B).

Principal Jodie Bolter said: “I am delighted that our results are once again the best we have ever achieved and this is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication the staff and students have put in.

“Our results over the last two years have shown an improvement year on year and this year we have secured some excellent grades.

“We are extremely proud of all of our students and their achievement is a credit to all of them.

“We are on an exciting journey and I am looking forward to continuing to build on this year’s success.

“We have a fantastic community here at Tudor Grange Redditch and myself and our sixth form team welcome anyone who would like to find out more.”

She also thanked all staff, parents and carers for their on-going support.
