RESIDENTS are being urged to join a special Platinum Big Jubilee surprise on the morning of Thursday, April 28 in Church Hill
It promises to be amazing celebration moment – the royal stamp of approval as an official part of HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
It’s all happening on Loxley Close by Willows Community Centre this Thursday morning, April 28, at around 8.45am.
Local children have been invited to attend and it promises to be a truly grand way to get the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee ball rolling.
Closing time is expected to be no later than 10.30am.
Meanwhile, staying with the Jubilee celebrations, Church Hill Big Local has supplied 40 Platinum Jubilee Street Party Packs to residents of the area who applied.
Stephen Betteridge, the groups co-chair and who’s idea it was said: “We were starting to plan our own Jubilee celebration and decided to put these packs together to help out our area with their own planning.
“We were astonished at the response; we have supplied Union Jack themed packs for 1,399 properties in Church Hill and enough plates. cups, hats, serviettes for 1,399 adults and 563 children!”
The packs also included bunting, tablecloths, party blowers, fridge magnets, a road closed sign and badges.
Church Hill Big Local will be hosting The Big Jubilee Lunch and Fete on Bomford Hill Park from midday until 4pm on Sunday, June 5.
