THE future looks good! That’s the verdict of borough and county councillor Pattie Hill after she was grilled by Girl Guides on politics.
The youngsters from 1st Crabbs Cross (St. Peter’s) Guides were visited by Coun Hill to help celebrate Parliament Week.
This included activities provided by the UK Parliament to help Guides engage, explore and empower with what the UK Parliament are doing.
The Guides learnt how to vote for their party leaders, present a manifesto and use a ballot box.
They then held a question and answer session with Coun Hill (Lab, Arrow Valley West at County Hall) to learn what voting is and how they themselves can affect change in their own lives, and even how they can learn to be politicians themselves.
