RESIDENTS in Redditch are being urged to talk to their local pharmacist if they need help and advice managing minor health conditions, avoiding a trip to the GP or A&E.
Redditch and Bromsgrove Clinical Commissioning Group of local GPs is supporting the ‘Stay Well Pharmacy’ campaign which promotes the services on offer at local pharmacies and urging people to visit them with common health concerns.
Doctors say pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals and the right people to see if you need advice and over the counter treatments for a wide range of health issues.
Most minor conditions, such as colds, coughs, flu and stomach bugs can be treated at home, and your local pharmacist can provide you with help and support to get you back on your feet as soon as possible, say GPs.
