Redditch Editorial 9th Nov, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

WITNESSES are being sought after the sudden death of a man in Abbeydale.

The man, in his 70s, was found in Sedgley Close and walking his dog at the time of the incident on Saturday (November 8) when he is thought to have collapsed. He was pronounced deceased at the scene about 3.30pm.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police wish to speak to an Eastern European man who was passing through the area on a pedal cycle at the time. The man is described as being white and wearing a fluorescent jacket.

He alerted people inside the Abbeydale Community Club in order to seek medical attention for the deceased.

However, he left the scene shortly afterwards prior to the arrival of emergency services.

This witness, anybody who knows him or those with information are encouraged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 0448S of Saturday 8 November.
