A CRACKDOWN on speeding cars in rural parts of Redditch caught seven vehicles exceeding 45mph in a 30 zone in the first 45 minutes.
Officers from the South West and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out the exercise in Feckenham on Monday, April 16.
Village residents have long called for more effective policing of the speed limit through the village.
The Hanbury Road which runs through Feckenham offers a tempting long straight for law breaking drivers, however the road is busy with pedestrians going to and from the Forest at Feckenham pub, the village shop and local garage.
The speed limit is 30mph.
