A PATIENT at Worcestershire Royal Hospital has died from coronavirus.
It is the second COVID-19 death in Worcestershire after a patient died at the Alexandra Hospital yesterday.
Matthew Hopkins, chief executive of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We can confirm that sadly a patient in his eighties, who had underlying health conditions, has passed away at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. He had tested positive for COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
