RESIDENTS are being invited to try out the new e-scooters in Redditch tomorrow morning, October 1.
The Borough Council and micro-mobility operator, Bird, have teamed up to bring environmentally-friendly scooters to the town for a minimum of 12 months.
Bird will be hosting a safety training session at 11am at the top of Market Place, by St Stephen’s Church.
They will also be giving out helmets for free.
A spokesperson from Bird said: “We would love for you to join us – where you can go through the training, get a helmet and talk to Bird.
“Download our app beforehand so you can go through the licence verification in time for the launch.”
Locals will need to be over 18-years-old, have a driving licence and also the Bird app downloaded on their smartphones.
