CHILDREN and staff at St Stephen’s First School in Redditch spent Wednesday celebrating the birthday of author Roald Dahl by dressing up as their favourite story characters.
The day featured a special assembly for the many Willy Wonkas, Oompa Loompas, Matildas, BFGs, Witches and Fantastic Mr Foxes.
The children took part in a variety of Roald Dahl themed activities including writing stories and poetry, drawing and painting while learning about, and reproducing the work of Quentin Blake, the artist who illustrated Roald Dahl’s books.
