A REDDITCH film production company, Bee Bee Films, has chosen various locations around the town as the backdrop for its new feature film.

Filming is due to start on the movie which is set in 1994 and based on the real life experiences of a single parent father struggling to cope with work and bringing up a family of three boys.

It follows an emotional rollercoaster of events and features a cast of 24 actors and crew from the Midlands area.

Filming takes place in 30 different locations, including scenes in the homes of five Redditch residents.

Other key locations include The Lounge, Sandycroft Centre, the Palace Theatre, Carers Careline, Fitness Unlimited gym, the Gate Hangs Well pub, Foil & Tool Services, FBC Manby Bowdler solicitors, St. Leonard’s Church, AP Morgan estate agents, the Abbey Hotel, Forge Needle Museum, Community House, Attwell Farm Park, and Tilehouse allotments.

Larger venues across the region include Kidderminster Hospital, East Midlands Airport and West Midlands Safari Park.

Lead actor Chris Del Manso who graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire said: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Redditch for the filming.

“I never realised it could offer so many interesting film locations.”

When the film is released early next year, there will be the chance to see how many local areas you can spot on the big screen.
