REDDITCH schoolgirl Evie Morgan is having her locks lopped to raise money for local charity Matt’s Mission.

Matt’s Mission, which last year held a 24 hour charity ‘bouncy castle bounce’ in Redditch, grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses and disabilities.

The charity provides family trips and gifts to make the smiles truly glow.

Now Walkwood C of E Middle School pupil is trying to do her bit for the good cause – and it’s the first time the big hearted youngster has helped a charity.

“She first grew her hair for charity so it could be made into wigs for the Little Princess Trust after seeing a friend doing it,” said proud mum Catherine.

“Since then she’s been growing it for the past four years to do the same again and this time also rise money for Matt’s Mission for children with cancer.”

Evie, aged ten, has set herself a target of raising £500 and is already over halfway there.

“Last time she donated nine inches of hair and this time round it should be more as it’s already down to the bottom of her back,” said Catherine.
