BIG-HEARTED schoolboy Rhys Walker has been presented with a special certificate by Redditch Nightstop after organising a collection at his school.

Rhys’s appeal at St George’s First School has produced two boxfuls of toiletries and chocolates to help homeless young people in Redditch.

Staff at Nightstop were so impressed they presented the eight-year-old with his award as a thank-you for all his efforts.

“He told us he wanted to do something to help the homeless,” said teaching assistant Sandi Willetts.

“He made posters and put them around the school and typed up a letter to go home with the children and all these things have started coming in.”
