STUDENTS and staff at Ridgeway Academy bid visiting German teachers ‘willkommen’ when they arrived at the Evesham Road site yesterday (January 28).
The nine visitors have travelled from the Hermann-Vöchting-Gymnasium school in Blomberg, this week to follow up with Ridgeway headteacher, Mike Bennett, who visited Hermann-Vöchting in October last year.
The relationship between the two schools is part of Ridgeway’s aim to forge links with EU partner schools to help develop student’s language skills and undertake project work across the continent.
Along with spending time at Ridgeway to see how a UK school operates, the academy’s European colleagues will be visiting the historic centres of Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon with teaching staff and pupils.
