TUDOR Grange Academy in Redditch is opening its doors to the community in a bid to create opportunities for the students and everyone in the local area.

The academy is working in partnership with School Lettings Solutions (SLS) to provide venues for local groups to hold activities, such as sports classes and drama workshops in the academy’s sports hall, theatre, drama studio and gymnasium.

Steven Groutage, Tudor Grange Academy’s associate principal, said: “We’re really excited to be opening up the academy to the wider community.

“We’re proud of the facilities we offer our students, such as our drama studio and gymnasium, and it makes sense to us that they are available to use during evenings and weekends as well.”

SLS currently works with more than 150 schools nationwide, helping them offer space to their local communities. It manages the services for the schools, including taking bookings and staffing the spaces.

Jackie Latu, managing director of SLS, said: “It is great to have a partnership with Tudor Grange.

“The academy has got some brilliant facilities and we’ve already had lots of booking enquiries.”

She added SLS was passionate about ensuring people had access to opportunities to boost their health and wellbeing and was keen to ensure local clubs thrived and were well-attended.
