Redditch rallying call for local people to help make a difference

Redditch Editorial 14th Apr, 2018   0

A RALLYING call has gone out for people to join a Redditch campaign to make a positive difference in the world.

‘People of Action Required’ is aimed at those who want to make a difference in their community, grow their social network, work with leading organisations and develop their skills.

There will also be the opportunity to extend business and career opportunities and enhance social understanding.

The new group will be a satellite club to Redditch-Kingfisher Rotarians and the aim is to meet once or twice a month in a local café, pub or restaurant.

“Members will decide which projects to initiate and what talents they can bring to help the local community,” said a Redditch-Kingfisher spokesperson.

“If you do not want to commit yourself due to pressure of work or home life then you can still be involved without joining.

“However if you do decide to join us then you will be part of a UK network of more than 48,000 members who get involved in a variety of projects.”

There will even be the chance to work with overseas projects through our Rotary’s network of 34,000 clubs worldwide.

The first meeting is next Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Southcrest Manor Hotel from 6pm and 7pm.
