TWO Wetherspoon pubs in Redditch have been recognised for their ‘quality and standards’ in the Loo of the Year Awards 2019.
The Rising Sun on Alcester Street and The Royal Enfield on Unicorn Hill have both been awarded Platinum Rating by inspectors.
Toilets across the UK are graded Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond with unacceptable toilets not graded at all.
They are judged against numerous criteria including décor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand washing, drying equipment and overall management.
Rising Sun manager, Joanne Mullen, said: “Staff at the pub ensure the toilets are in first-class condition at all times.
“It’s great that this has been recognised by the inspectors.”
