A REDDITCH mum has struck the work-life balance with a business venture which allows her to spend time with her young daughter.
Mum of one, Jess Wheelhouse, started running interactive communication classes in August after deciding she wanted to combine working life and motherhood.
Talking Tots Redditch and South Warwickshire, is a programme of interactive classes that boost pre-school children’s communication and social skills and help children develop important life skills such as listening and attention, self-esteem and confidence, sharing and turn taking and pre-literacy skills.
The course has proved so popular the Redditch-based programme is having to expand just weeks after starting.
Jess said: “After having my daughter almost a year and a half ago and enjoying parent and toddler groups so much with her, I decided rather than returning to full-time work I wanted to combine meeting lovely parents and children with my passion for language and communication development.”
Beginning in September, classes will be held at venues in Studley and Warwick.
