Redditch man hopes to introduce new charity to support people with addictions

A REDDITCH man is looking for trustees to help set up a new charity to support people with addictions – Hotel Hope.

Matthew Duggins has worked in Redditch bars and pubs for the last 15 years but has recently decided to go in a different direction.

He said: “I want to make a difference in my community and provide a system which helps people battle their addiction, whatever it may be.

“I think Hotel Hope is a good idea because it will help take the strain off the NHS.”

Matthew says the charity will help people recover, get their lives back on track and provide the right services to make sure they stay ‘clean’.

“The name Hotel Hope is not just for effect because we will help in-house residents, which are people who cannot afford the expensive rehab centres.

“We will also deal with outpatients and go and meet all different types of people.”

Matthew wants to make it clear that they will not be offering a ‘magical cure’ and for it to work the individual must want to actually work at beating their addiction.

Hotel Hope is currently in need of trustees to get the charity closer to reality.

If you can help, contact Matthew on 07963 305658.
