Redditch karate kid to do 500 kicks in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Ross Crawford 14th Feb, 2021

KARATE kid Xavier Brake from Matchborough is doing 500 karate kicks in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

His mum Michelle thought up the idea to give the five year old something to focus on during lockdown.

“He started doing karate with British Military Martial Arts back in September 2019 when he was only four, and he loves it,” she said.

“I wanted him to do something that would incorporate self control and discipline, and he really enjoys it.

“He’s now up to his second grade and second belt and I thought fundraising for a good cause was one way of getting him to focus and still do his martial art.”

Xavier hopes to raise £200 for the Children’s Hospital and is already up to £160.
