VUE Cinema in Redditch has apologised for the condition of the seats in its theatres.
After a complaint made by a cinema-goer, the company has put plans in place to refurbish all the seating.
A Vue spokesperson said: “At Vue we have strict cleaning processes including frequent cleaning of all screens and common areas, and we are disappointed that our high standards were not met on this occasion.
“Plans are currently being put in place to repair and replace the seating at our Redditch venue and we look forward to being able to share these plans in due course.”
